How do I schedule an appointment with Virtual VetDoc™?
It's easy!
Click on the “Sign Up” button at the top of the screen and choose either a one-time appointment or cost-saving subscription plan. Then, choose a time available that works with your schedule.
Once you confirm the appointment and provide the necessary information, including payment, you will receive a link to use at the time of your appointment.
What do I need for my virtual appointment?
You need a phone, table or computer with a camera and microphone.
The vet will need to be able to see your pet up close, so we recommend being in a place and position with good lighting and a flat surface where you can place your pet.
It is a good idea to have a list of any medications, conditions and surgeries your pet has had, to help the vet understand your pet's current condition.
What is the difference between a one-time appointment and a subscription?
One-time appointments cost $79 and can take up to 48 hours to schedule. Our subscription packages allow you to make monthly payments, based on the number of appointments you wish to have for your pet each year. This is what most of our members select, to save money and budget for vet visits.
What if I have to cancel my appointment?
We charge a fee of $50 for canceled appointments.
What if my pet needs medication?
Most pet medications can be picked up at your local pharmacy. We also have a relationship with a mail-order, pet pharmacy to help you secure necessary medications. The vet who sees your pet will be authorized to prescribe medication for your pet(s).
What types of pets do you see?
Our licensed veterinarians can see any kind of pet. You'll be asked what type of pet you want seen when you book your appointment, so the vet will know ahead of time.
Can my pet get seen today?
Sometimes, it is possible to have your pet seen the same day. For most cases, appointments are made within 24 hours and include convenient evening and weekend times.
How can I pay for my appointment?
We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express for payment. Please note that payment is required to book your appointment. Cancellations incur a $50 fee.
Can I have the vet seeing multiple pets at one appointment?
No, each appointment slot is designated for one pet. You can, however, save time by booking successive appointments, so that multiple pets can be seen.
What if my pet needs to see an actual veterinarian?
We recommend establishing a relationship with an actual veterinarian in your area. While most situations can be handled by telehealth visit, if our licensed veterinarian feels it is necessary for your pet to be seen, he/she will explain and provide guidance on what to say when you call to make a local appointment.
